24 Exciting experiments for the Raspberry Pi PicoTM
Kit for educational establishments.
This kit is inspired by The Book “Getting started with MicroPython on Raspberry Pi Pico” published by Raspberry Pi™ Press and the amazing “Raspberry Pi Pico™. The book can be used with this kit and the lovely people at Raspberry Pi™ have also made it free to download as a PDF.
EasyDAQ-Kit 1 is ideal for educators who provide their students already with a Raspberry Pi Pico™. It is a hands-on breadboard kit with components and instructions for 24 brilliant experiments. The kit will help students learn how your Raspberry Pi Pico™ works. All components are placed easily by hand, with no soldering required.
In many cases the components are identical to those described in The Book and in others they are slightly different. In particular we have added wires with pin connections so that students will not need to use a soldering iron. Where there are differences they are explained with examples. In all cases we highlight known pitfalls and problems.
We provide a useful guide with photographs in the instructions which were taken during code development. The codes and the instructions are a good representation of the real thing working.
The code examples in this document are all available as a download on this website.
The instructions also show how to use a PC or Mac™ instead of a Raspberry Pi™ as a development platform.
The kit is suitable for adults / young adults who are starting out on learning coding and circuit building, and learning about functions and components, or just for those seeking a breadboard with a good selection of experiments.
Complete beginners have successfully completed all of the experiments and report being more able to understand coding, Pi Pico™ functions and also report feeling more confident in handling components. The experiments are set out in simplicity order, and there are photographs to guide circuit building, so the learner can graduate through skill levels without frustration or defeat.
EasyDAQ also offer technical support for educators who can phone or email during office hours. This is a service not offered by any other experiment kit sellers as far as we know!
